Can you delete my information before the year is up?

You do not have to wait for the one-year purge. Write from the email address you used at checkout — that address is how your kit is found, so it is what tells us which record is yours — and say what you want:

• Delete the answers you gave us, ahead of schedule.
• Send you a copy of what we hold.
• Correct something in it.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under state law, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We honor those rights for everybody, wherever they live.

One thing worth knowing first

Preparing a form again means reading your answers back. Delete them early and there is nothing left to re-run from, so the free re-do can no longer be performed for you — download everything you want to keep first, and consider waiting until your name change is finished everywhere.

A record that a purchase happened — amount, date, package — is kept for accounting and tax purposes as the law requires, and is not something a deletion request removes.
