My printed packet hasn’t arrived. What now?

First, the thing worth knowing before anything else: a delayed envelope does not delay your name change. The printed packet is the same kit on paper. Every page of it is already on your kit page, and you can print anything you need tonight.

Check where it stands first

Your kit page shows where the envelope is — being prepared, on its way, or a problem at our end. If it says there was a problem, it never reached the post: email support@namechangeworks.com from the address you bought with and we sort that envelope out, and you are not charged again.

If it went out and did not turn up, or turned up damaged

• It has been two weeks and nothing has arrived. It goes first class and usually lands within a week.
• It arrived damaged or incomplete.
• The address you gave at checkout was wrong. Once a packet has gone to the printer it cannot be recalled or redirected, so do not wait to see whether it turns up.

All three are the same thing to a printer: a second envelope is a second print run rather than a correction, so it is a purchase like the first one. Your kit page offers one more printed copy per order at $15, and that checkout asks for the delivery address again rather than reusing the one on your order — so you can send it somewhere else. Nothing is lost in the meantime: every page of the packet is already on your kit page, so you can print what you need tonight.

Within 14 days of buying you can ask for a full refund instead, for any reason, and we do not deduct printing or postage.

When it does arrive, the cover sheet lists what is inside and names every Social Security box left blank on purpose. The lines that need signing are named on each document’s own page, in the callout that sits above it.
