Changing your name with Spotify

Spotify holds no legal name. The display name is a free-text field you can change yourself, and it is separate from your username.
Spotify handles this in its mobile app or online.
Do the government agencies first — most companies ask for photo ID in your new name, which means your license has to be done already.

How to do it
- On mobile, tap your profile picture, then View profile, then Edit, then change the display name and save.
- On desktop, open your profile, click the profile name to edit it, and save.
